Clients seeking greater flexibility on pricing may also wish to consider empty-leg flights, which can offer significant savings on select routes into or out of Jeddah.
King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) is one of the largest airports in the world by area, covering 15 square kilometres (5.8 square miles) and handling more than 41 million passengers annually. Its three terminals — North, South and Hajj — serve distinct passenger flows, with the North Terminal dedicated to international services and the South Terminal handling domestic routes. An ongoing expansion project is designed to increase annual capacity to 80 million passengers and improve road connectivity via the Al-Laith highway.
Since 2016, access to the airport is restricted to ticketed passengers only, which further reinforces the secure and uncrowded environment that private charter clients experience on arrival.
Every Prime Jet Services charter to Jeddah is supported by a full concierge offering, arranged around your itinerary:
Saudi Arabia’s second-largest city and the primary seaport on the Red Sea, Jeddah has long served as a crossroads of commerce, pilgrimage and culture. The city is home to more than 1,300 mosques, a thriving arts scene, and a cuisine shaped by Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani and broader Asian influences. Key landmarks within easy reach of the airport include Bab Makkah (the historic entrance to Mecca) and the Quran Gate, alongside a calendar of art and film festivals held throughout the year.
Opened in 1981 after a six-year development period running from 1974 to 1980, King Abdulaziz International Airport was conceived to serve Jeddah’s role as the Red Sea’s principal port and the gateway for millions of pilgrims travelling to Mecca and Madinah each year. Its Hajj Terminal — capable of accommodating 80,000 people simultaneously and covering 460,000 m² — received the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1983, recognised for its open-plan, environmentally considered design. The airport remains one of the largest of its kind in the world.
