Arranging a private jet charter to Sharm el-Sheikh through Prime Jet Services means arriving at one of Egypt’s most sought-after destinations entirely on your own terms. Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport (IATA: SSH, ICAO: HESH) connects the Sinai Peninsula to dozens of cities across Europe and the Middle East, making it a natural choice for both leisure and business travellers. Our Dubai-based team handles every detail, from departure to door, so that your journey is as considered as the destination itself.
Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport is the sole airport serving the city and the third largest in Egypt, with capacity for up to 9.5 million passengers per year. It sits at 44 m (143 ft) above sea level and is straightforwardly accessible by road.
The airport currently operates 12 transit gates, with expansion plans in progress to raise annual capacity to 20 million passengers and add further gates.
SSH offers straightforward private access to key cities across the region and beyond. Approximate flight durations on a charter jet from Sharm el-Sheikh include:
Those seeking a more flexible arrangement may find our empty-leg flights a cost-effective option on select routes.
Flying privately through SSH removes the friction of a commercial terminal experience. Boarding is handled separately, security and registration are completed efficiently, and complimentary transfers between the terminal and the aircraft are included as standard. Every Prime Jet Services booking is supported by a dedicated concierge team and includes access to the following:
On arrival, limousine transfer is available on request, taking you directly from the aircraft to your hotel, resort or meeting without the delays of shared transport. Prime Jet Services coordinates ground logistics as part of a seamless end-to-end arrangement, ensuring that the standard of travel continues well beyond the steps of the aircraft.
Sharm el-Sheikh is home to approximately 73,000 permanent residents, a figure that regularly triples during peak tourist seasons. The city functions simultaneously as a high-end leisure destination, a centre for commerce and diplomatic gatherings, and a gateway to some of the world’s most celebrated marine environments. Whether the purpose of travel is business or leisure, the city offers a genuinely broad range of activity.
Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport was established by the Israeli Air Force in 1968, when the Sinai Peninsula remained under Israeli control. Following the Egypt–Israel Peace Treaty in 1979 and the subsequent Israeli withdrawal, Egyptian authorities converted it to civilian use. A significant modernisation programme in the early 2000s brought the facility to its current configuration of two terminals and two asphalt runways. Passenger numbers fell sharply between 2015 and 2019 in the wake of the downing of Metrojet Flight 9268 on 31 October 2015; since then, the airport has substantially strengthened its security measures and major international carriers have resumed regular operations.
