Prime Jet Services offers private jet charter to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, placing you at the heart of the French Riviera within moments of landing. The airport’s dedicated general aviation terminal ensures a seamless, unhurried arrival — a world apart from the commercial halls next door. Whether your destination is Nice itself, Monaco, or anywhere along the southern coast of France, this is your gateway.

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport — Practical Overview

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (IATA: NCE / ICAO: LFMN) is the principal point of entry for the French Riviera and one of the busiest airports in France. For private travellers, the relevant facility is the dedicated general aviation terminal, which opened in 2010 and operates entirely separately from the two commercial terminals.

  • Terminals: 3 — two for commercial aviation, one for general aviation
  • General aviation terminal size: 1,500 square metres
  • Runways: 2 — measuring 8,432 ft and 9,711 ft respectively
  • IATA code: NCE
  • ICAO code: LFMN

Distances to Key Destinations

  • Nice city centre: 7 kilometres
  • Monaco: 20 kilometres

A helicopter transfer service operates directly from the airport to Monaco, making it one of the most convenient cross-border connections on the Riviera.

The General Aviation Terminal

The 1,500 square metre general aviation terminal at NCE was purpose-built for business and private travellers. Expedited security, direct airside access to your aircraft, and a calm, well-appointed environment are standard here — not an upgrade. The terminal is equipped to accommodate a full range of aircraft types, and its dedicated staff are experienced in handling high-profile arrivals and departures with complete discretion.

Facilities within the terminal include:

  • VIP lounges
  • Business centre and conference rooms
  • Luxury retail
  • Free Wi-Fi throughout
  • Catering services
  • Television and multimedia facilities
  • Private VIP assistance
  • Separate boarding

What to Do in Nice and the Surrounding Region

The French Riviera is one of Europe’s most enduringly desirable destinations, and Nice offers a concentrated version of everything that makes it so. The city’s pebble beaches along the Baie des Anges front the Mediterranean at its most vivid, and the climate is reliably warm for much of the year.

Beyond the shoreline, Nice holds a strong cultural offering:

  • Musée Chagall — the largest permanent collection of Marc Chagall’s works in the world
  • Musée Matisse — a significant collection dedicated to Henri Matisse, who spent much of his later life in Nice
  • Vieux-Nice — the city’s historic old town, with Baroque architecture and a lively street culture

For those extending their trip, Monaco is easily reached — 20 kilometres from the airport, or a short helicopter flight. The principality is home to the Casino de Monte-Carlo, world-class dining, and — at the right time of year — the Monaco Grand Prix, one of motorsport’s most iconic events.

A Brief History of Nice Côte d’Azur Airport

The airport was founded in 1930, making it one of France’s oldest civil aviation facilities. It was substantially rebuilt and modernised following the Second World War, with a new runway of 1,100 metres constructed as part of that programme — laying the foundation for NCE’s growth into the major international airport it is today. The airport subsequently became a hub for Air France and remains the primary commercial and general aviation gateway to the entire Côte d’Azur. The dedicated business aviation terminal, which brought private travellers their own purpose-designed facility, opened in 2010.
